Ricky Hatton Conflicted About Eight Week Vegas Camp
Ricky Hatton is a bit conflicted about his trainer's request for an eight week training camp in Las Vegas. Floyd Mayweather Sr. wants Hatton to arrive in Las Vegas about eight weeks before his May 2 mega-bout with Manny Pacquiao, which takes place at the MGM Grand.
Hatton feels the time away from his family, son, girlfriend and soccer team - could alter his state of mind for the Pacquiao encounter. He plans to speak with Mayweather to work something out, but if push comes to shove - he will agree to his trainer's request.
"My trainer Floyd Mayweather wants me there for eight solid weeks but that is a long time. I will miss my son, my girlfriend, my family and my football if I go for that long. I will speak to Floyd about the training camp but if I have to go I will go," Hatton told writer Steve Bunce.
